Indiana statutes guide our grant process. Our grants are funded through countermeasure fees and fines collected from alcohol and drug charges through the local court system. In September of each year, CASA sets its local budget based on these funds. Split into four equal parts, and our funds are distributed as grants to Prevention and Education programs, Law Enforcement programs, and Treatment programs. The last fourth of the funds goes towards CASA's operating costs.

Along with all grant questions
CASA strongly supports programs that are following evidence based practices.
CASA uses local data to identify three problem statements. We encourage you to identify how your program will address these statements.
Membership is not required for a program to receive grant money; however, participation in our ongoing conversation and efforts can only help support you and your work.
Grantees are required to attend at least 6 meetings during the grant cycle.
Grantees are required to provide a verbal report on the progress of their program once a year to our membership. Grantees are also required to submit a final written report.
It is important to follow the directions provided on the grant carefully; including the submission of the budget for your program. Failure to do this could result in the delay of your application. If you have any questions, please contact us so we can help.
